Although I don’t have a Continuum, I have a lot of friends who do. I was also one of the organizers of ContonuuCon, the Haken Continuum conference, so I’ve been around them a lot. It’s the most expressive electronic instrument I’ve ever seen (or heard, or touched).

I’ve made Continuum videos for my channel and also made a number of them for the ContinuuCon channel. I’ve included some of those here.

ContinuuCon, the First Continuum Fingerboard Conference took place June 9–11, 2016, in Asheville, NC. Performers, sound designers, composers and electronic music enthusiasts who attended ContinuuCon explored this uniquely expressive instrument through concerts, workshops, lectures and more. Dr. Lippold Haken, inventor of the Continuum, and Edmund Eagan, developer of the Continuum’s synthesis engine EaganMatrix, were among those sharing their knowledge and musical talents.

The Patterning app, A Moog MF-101 & Eventide H9 join the MatrixBrute in a filter modulation technique similar to side-chaining.
